Filtersorb SP3® and I-SOFT® combined are an effective treatment. Filtersorb SP3® treats the temporary hardness in water and I-SOFT® prevents sulfate and silica scaling. All corrosion problems are reduced to zero with a smooth coating of CaCO (Calcium carbonate), a crystal on any surface that comes in contact with SP3® water. High silica in the water is preferred to make strong crystals for friction. Smooth surface coating will reject any scale as long as it is continuously formed. The formation of inorganic scale that is CaSO4 (Calcium sulfate) and BaSO4 (Barium sulfate) is a huge problem. This can easily be resolved with a very small amount of I-SOFT® polycarboxylete in combination with the SP3® water. I-SOFT® will distort the rate of crystallization through surface absorption thus blocking the active growth of CaCO3. I-SOFT® will also modify crystal morphology and density of nucleation.
I-SOFT® maybe the only dispersant to work effectively as an inhibitor for CaSO4 and BaSO4 scales.
I-SOFT® disperses particles and their agglomeration forms larger adherent particles and it contains little complex inorganic ions. This stoichiometrically the highest threshold inhibition property to stop scale growth on any metal surface by integrating with the growth of scale crystals.
I-SOFT® Applications (can be used separately or in combination with Filtersorb SP3®)

Legionella
Stabilized oxidizing biocide in INSTANT I-SOFT OB is much stronger with the oxidation potential 1.8, than Chlorine (Cl2) and Chlorine dioxide (ClO2) which have the oxidation potential 1.36 and 0.96 respectively. Completely water soluble, INSTANT I-SOFT OB is an instant powder which can effectively destroy bacteria, Legionella in just seconds. In fact, all cooling towers are polluted with Legionella and its one of the biggest application point of INSTANT I-SOFT OB. The recommended amounts are small as it is very concentrated.
